Whether you are personally gluten-sensitive or want to provide options for your friends and family, the Co-op has always been a destination for wheat-free and certified gluten-free options for the Holiday and every day. We stock an incredible number of wheat and gluten-free products in every category and department. Look for the certified gluten-free icon on packaging and our shelf indicators while shopping or use this list as a guide.
Holiday Sides & Ingredients
There is an abundance of holiday side dishes that can easily be made gluten-free by omitting one or two ingredients or substituting with some of the options below. Below is a list of brands and items that can replace products traditionally containing gluten, but there are many other naturally gluten-free ways to do that as well, like the rice blends from Lundberg that can be used for stuffing and sides.
Aleia’s premium Gluten-Free Plain Stuffing Mix, Savory Stuffing Mix, Croutons, Classic Breadcrumbs, Italian Breadcrumbs, and Extra Crispy Breadcrumbs can be found on Aisle 1.
West Sac Baking, made here in Sacramento, has Sourdough Stuffing Cubes, and a Sourdough Stuffing Kit located on a rack on aisle 1.
Lar’s Own French Fried Onions & Pacific Cream of Mushroom Soup pair up for a gluten-free green bean casserole that makes everyone happy! Located on center store end-caps & aisle 2.
Olivia’s Garlic Croutons and Carrington Farms Italian Breadcrumbs can be used for topping your salads and mac & cheese or to convert into gluten-free stuffing, located on Aisle 1.
Simply Organic makes gravy super easy and has several gluten-free options. Look for the Brown Gravy Mix, Roasted Chicken Gravy Mix, Roasted Turkey Gravy Mix, Onion Dip Mix, Ranch Dip Mix, Wild Mushroom Sauce Mix on center store end caps or aisle 2.
Breads & Rolls
We all want something to sop up the delicious gravies, sauces and juices from a hearty meal. This list pulls together our many options for gluten-free breads and rolls - some of these options are fresh, some refrigerated and some frozen so there is no one place to find them in the store, but gives a wide variety of options to suit different needs.
Against the Grain Original Baguettes, Pita Bread, and Rolls are found in our freezer section along with Little Northern Millet & Chia Bread, Seeds & Grains Bread, Cinnamon Raisin Bread, Millet & Chia Buns and Sprouted 7-grain Bread. You can also find the locally made Brown Rice Bakery Garlic & Herb Take and Bake Biscuits in the freezer section.
The ever popular Bread SRSLY Classic Sourdough Loaf, Seeded Sourdough Loaf, Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough Loaf, Sourdough Sandwich Rolls, Dinner Rolls are refrigerated in the small case across from dairy and eggs.
Our local West Sac Baking is stocked on a rack on aisle 1. Find their Sourdough Loaf, Cheddar Cheese Biscuits 6pk, Sourdough Buns 4pk, Breadsticks 6pk there.
Canyon Bakehouse, another 100% gluten-free brand specializes in mostly sandwich-type breads which are on aisle 1. Mountain White Sliced Bread, San Juan 7-Grain Sliced Bread, Heritage White & Heritage Whole Grain Bread, Plain & Everything Bagels, and English Muffins are also available.
Crackers
Snacking is an important component of this food holiday - whether you are watching a game, entertaining, or in the kitchen cooking! This list pulls together our favorite crackers and snacks all available on aisle 6.
Mary’s Gone Crackers – The original gluten-free crackers! Find their Original, Herb, Black Pepper, Classic, Sesame Seaweed, Everything, Real This Sea Salt, and Thin Garlic Rosemary.
Simple Mills are mostly nut based products with great flavor and crunch. These are perfect for little hors d’euvres. Sea Salt Crackers, Rosemary Crackers, Cheddar Crackers, and Sea Salt Almond Flour Crackers.
For a heartier option, pick up a bag of Cult Classic Seed Crackers or Crunchy Cassava Crackers. These are so filling that a few can sustain you in the kitchen while you’re busy cooking!

For those who want to make their own treats, we have tons of options for gluten-free flours. These packaged options can be found on aisle 3 where most of our baking ingredients are found, though we also have a great selection in the bulk department.
Bob’s Red Mill has been leading the way for decades and offers a plethora of gluten-free and whole grain options including their All Purpose Flour, Oat Flour, Pie Crust Mix, and Cornbread Mix.
Cup 4 Cup’s Gluten-Free Flour is a blend you can feel confident subbing into any recipe. Simple Mills makes an almond flour mix as well as Artisan Bread Almond Flour Mix and Namaste has a Perfect Flour Blend.

New to us and locally made Crumb Pies offer fantastic flavor combinations and great textures. Find their Salted Pear Caramel Crumble, Mixed Berry Crumble, Pumpkin Spice Apple, Pumpkin w/Graham Crust in six and 9-inch sizes in the center store refrigerator.
