  • Ready in2.5 hours

    Ingredients

    • 4 teaspoons active dry yeast
    • 2 tablespoons cane sugar
    • 2 cups lukewarm filtered water (480ml)
    • 5 cups unbleached all-purpose flour (700g)
    • 2 teaspoons sea salt
    • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
    • roasted garlic, olives, rosemary, and any other herbs/decorations of your choice

    Cooking Instructions

    1

In a medium bowl, whisk together the water and yeast and let it sit for ten minutes as the yeast blooms. While that magic happens, grab another bowl and mix the flour and sea salt.

    2

Combine the wet and dry mixes in a large bowl. Add 3/4 cup of olive oil. Stir together until they form a lovely shaggy dough.

Once combined, lightly rub all sides of the dough to coat with olive oil. Cover the bowl and set aside in a warm place to allow it to double in size—about an hour should do it.

    3

Get a 9×13-inch baking tray ready by coating it with olive oil. Once your dough has risen, place it in the prepared tray then shape and stretch the dough into the pan. Cover it and set aside for 30 minutes.

Tip: Put a little bit of olive oil on your hands before shaping and stretching the dough so it doesn’t stick to your fingers.

    4

Now, let’s add that festive flair! Press dimples into dough then add rosemary, garlic, olives and any other toppings of your choice and arrange into a festive design. Drizzle with more olive oil.

    5

Bake at 355°F for 30-40 minutes. Sprinkle with more flaky sea salt before serving and enjoy!
